Ottor’s Tip – It’ll be more easier for the locals & your taxi drivers to locate these places if you show them the Korean address I’ve put next to the Google map address.

Are you near Apgujeong-rodeo Station or Galleria Department Store and looking for a healthy meal? Tea Collective might be able to help you quench that thirst. They have healthy options like rye avocado toast and fruit ball, but you can also get carrot cakes and etc. But, if you’re just looking for an affordable place to grab a quick bite this is not for you.

You should definitely check this place out if you’re a fan of simple Japanese-like desserts. This place gives you a Japanese vibe but you can see that the patissier of this place have done more than just following traditional recipes. Also, this place is close to Naksan Park, a beloved site from Korean dramas.

You’re at Jamsil or Lotte World and looking for a cup of tea afterwards: Then DOHYO would be a perfect place for you. They serve various selection of tea and of course sweet and savory dessert to go with it. I’ve recently made my third visit to this place and it has become so popular in just few months, so be aware that you might have to wait a bit to get a table.

In Seoul for a transit for less than 24hrs? Then try tour at Gyeongbokgung Palace – Tongin Market and lastly coffee at Spectre. They are all in a walking distance from each other and the café is actually located inside the market. Spectre uses Fritz Coffee Company beans (Korean local roastery) and I would recommend trying their Matcha Einspänner.

I have to warn you. It if NOT an easy place to find. You probably won’t be able to locate this place by just looking at Google maps, so make sure you ask a local for help.

If I remember correctly, it’s a café run by a local yoga clothing brand but they have done a great job in decorating the place. This place gives you a greenhouse feel to it: all glass ceiling and plants all over the place.

A post shared by Dara (@darakim212) on

Yes, I’ve placed it in a café list while it’s more of a bakery but I had to mention. They have a GREAT selection of freshly baked pastries and great coffee to match. One thing, it’s relatively a small place so it won’t be easy to get a table, but I would still recommend making a visit and picking up something to-go.

This adorable café opened up recently and it serves as a perfect example of instagram worthy place. Turtle and Ottor checked it out at the day of the opening back in May. It seems like the owner have added a whole lot more of instagrammable items (eg., barbie dolls, flowers and etc) at the cafe so you will definetly not be disappointed.

A post shared by Dara (@darakim212) on

Someone called this café ‘a place I want to keep just to myself’, and I get why. It is very unique. Your drink is served on a drawing palette, and they also give you a blank canvas as well as a brush to paint with. I have not painted anything since my first year of high school so it brought me back lot of memories.

I was not quite sure if I wanted to introduce this place to everyone. Not because I want to keep it to myself, but because it is in a residential area. Though, if you are in Seoul for more than a week and fed up with touristy attractions then pay a visit to the area and try their dessert. It’s a café run by a mom and a daughter, and the daughter studied desserts in London (that’s what I discovered from stalking her instagram!).
